Reducing the cost of recruiting the right people
Following a period of non-production, Honda of the UK Manufacturing Ltd (HUM) is now back doing what it does best – manufacturing around 250,000 new cars every year. It wanted to increase applications from the right people; Honda has a strong brand and a unique philosophy and it was important that this came across in its recruitment advertising.
What we did
For Honda we created a striking, rich-media careers website showing what it is really like to work there - the core message at the heart of the website is that, at Honda, everybody plays an equal part in creating fantastic cars. Personal and informal employee videos show why people choose to work at Honda and why they love it. A concurrent digital attraction strategy was developed to drive a greater number of suitable candidates straight to the new website.
Last year www.hondamanufacturingcareers.co.uk had over 73,000 unique visitors, with 39% from search engines, 44% from referral sites engines and 17% direct traffic. We tracked 2,619 completed applications from digital media and Honda received even more applications from direct candidates sourced via print and radio campaigns.
Our Google advertising campaigns have proved particularly successful, consistently achieving an average cost per completed application of £8.42 for our very happy client.
