Engage with young men (aged 16-24) to take a rape awareness campaign seriously.
Solution
Almost half of all rapes involve young people who know each other or have met whilst out drinking. We created a YouTube game that invited young men to test their pulling power. It takes them through a range of typical night-out scenarios. At the end, instead of proving their pulling prowess they're given a stark warning about the consequences of their decisions and are directed to a bespoke website.
Result
Campaign launched in December 2009 with significant uptake and viral activity. Over 10,000 views on YouTube have been registered. Play the game online now
Here’s what the client had to say about working with us: "Five by Five People were proactive in making creative suggestions to
engage a difficult audience on such a hard to talk about topic. The
team really thought about our business and translated our data into
visual concepts with impact; under tight deadlines and a restricted
budget. Hampshire Constabulary has been recognised both locally and
nationally for this work. Thank you." Terri Clarke, Corporate Communications
